Madhu
Trehan, the author of Prism
Me a Lie Tell Me a Truth - Tehelka
as Metaphor
in
conversation with Vikas Balia
Thursday, 6th August,
2009, 6.30 pm onwards
Metropolitan Select Fortune, MGF
Mall.
The book is
based on Tehelka's
Operation West End,
the biggest undercover news
story in Indian journalism. In
March 2001, this sting operation
exposed the corruption
underlying India?s large defence
contracts which eventually led
to the resignation of Indian
Defence Minister. In a
rigorously researched and
searing authentic account of the
Tehelka exposé and its
aftermath, Madhu Trehan shows
how the government used
instruments of democracy to
destroy the investors without
leaving any footprints.
